Second National Seminar on Disaster Risk Management

A three-day national seminar connecting young participants with experienced experts from emergency management, civil protection, defence, academia, business continuity, meteorology and protection-and-rescue institutions.

Programme highlights

Day One

Civil protection units, fire-and-rescue organization, international protection-and-rescue missions, forest-fire tactics, preventive fire and explosion protection, rescue dogs and interdisciplinary disaster-risk-reduction education.

Day Two

Total defence, natural disasters as a national-security challenge, support of civil authorities by the Serbian Armed Forces, and a round table on strengths and weaknesses of disaster-risk management in Serbia.

Day Three

Crisis management and business continuity, international exercises, media in conflict crises, GIS for natural-disaster risk reduction, hydrometeorological early warning and the formal certificate ceremony.

Watercraft fire tactics, crisis communication during COVID-19, hazardous-material emergencies, Beirut explosion response, gender aspects, water rescue, national-defence education, civil protection, knot techniques and wildfire tactics.

Day Two

Traffic-accident rescue, hydrometeorological risk reduction and climate change, emergency camping, foraging, police roles, innovative wildfire technologies, economic effects of risk management, armed forces, INSARAG exercises, risk assessment, evacuation and extreme-situation operations.

Day Three

Temporary tent-camp sheltering, psychological and psychosocial first aid, emergency fraud auditing, CBRN/terrorism protection-and-rescue tactics, shipboard firefighter training, extreme-rainfall warning, flood defence, flash-flood infrastructure vulnerability and DAREnet.
