    Call for Official Representatives of ProSafeNet in Balkan Countries

    ProSafeNet – a global digital platform and network for professionals, practitioners, and volunteers in the fields of safety, security, disaster risk management, and emergency response – announces a call for the selection of official representatives in Balkan countries.
    Purpose of the Call
    This call aims to appoint local leaders and ambassadors of ProSafeNet in Balkan countries (Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania). Their role will be to connect local professionals with the international community, disseminate the knowledge and tools offered by ProSafeNet, and contribute to better preparedness and response to crises and disasters in the region.
    Objective of the Engagement
    Representatives will contribute to the expansion and strengthening of the ProSafeNet network through the promotion of the platform at national and regional levels, the inclusion of professionals, institutions, students, and volunteers, support in organizing events, trainings, and workshops, the exchange of knowledge and best practices, as well as strengthening cooperation with relevant institutions and organizations within their country.
    Requirements and Expectations
    – Active engagement in the fields of safety, rescue, civil protection, emergency medical services, firefighting and rescue units, police, medicine, academia, or the non-governmental sector.
    – Knowledge of the national legal and institutional framework in the field of disaster risk management and emergency response.
    – Ability to connect and unite professionals, organizations, and communities.
    – Willingness to work on a voluntary basis with the possibility of being rewarded through joint projects and partnerships.
    – Proficiency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of other regional languages is considered an advantage.
    Duties of the Official Representative
    – Representing ProSafeNet at the national level.
    – Maintaining active communication with the central ProSafeNet team.
    – Providing regular reports on activities and network development in the country.
    – Actively participating in projects and initiatives.
    – Promoting the platform within academic, professional, and volunteer communities.
    Benefits of Engagement
    – Official status and designation as the national representative of ProSafeNet.
    – Inclusion in an international network of experts, practitioners, and researchers.
    – Opportunities to jointly apply for international projects and grants.
    – Professional networking and strengthening of reputation at national and regional levels.
    – The right to a share of income generated through partnerships and projects resulting from their engagement.

    – A short biography (CV).

    The Association “Scientific-Professional Society for Disaster Risk Management”  (www.spsdr.com) is a non-governmental and non-profit association, established for an indefinite period, for the purpose of achieving objectives related to the advancement of scientific and professional knowledge and practice in the field of disaster risk management, emergencies, security, protection and community resilience, through the implementation of quantitative and/or qualitative research, publishing activities (journals, books and other publications), organizing national and international events, conducting formal and non-formal forms of education and professional development, preparing expert analyses, risk assessments and planning documents, developing digital platforms and knowledge bases, as well as other activities in accordance with the law and this Statute.
